PARKING

If you do choose to drive to Downtown Steamboat Springs, there is on street parking available but in most places, you are limited to 2-3 hours. Some spots are parallel parking and some are back-in diagonal parking, designed to be more cyclist friendly.  On the weekend, there is also a stash of parking behind the Routt County Court House on Oak and 5th Street and even more on Oak and 3rd behind the Wells Fargo Bank. Additional no hassle parking is available at the Steamboat Springs Rodeo grounds and Howelsen Hill Recreation complex. To access the Rodeo Grounds, turn onto 5th street and cross the Yampa River. Parking is straight ahead. Here you can generally park all day and access Downtown via the 5th Street Bridge or the pedestrian crossover at 9th Street. Please do not park in any unauthorized parking lots or you will risk being towed at the owner's expense. - courtesy of Main Street Steamboat
